Ever since the Intaki Assembly turned away
Federation Navy reinforcements we have been pondering what this means for our corporation.
We have always held the position that the Federation is not doing enough for the safety
of the Intaki systems and the surrounding areas, and now it turns out that our politicians
themselves requested this lack of protection. This leaves Placid Reborn in a weird position:
Shall we continue to work for an increased Federation and CONCORD presence in Placid, or
does that mean we're essentially going against Intaki interests?
So far noone has found an answer. Does that mean we are outdated and should dissolve ourselves?
Should we continue as before and ignore the politicians? They are only politicians after all,
and we haven't heard any voice from the population yet.
We didn't come up with a solution, but fortunately we do not have to hurry.
For the time being Placid Reborn will operate as before and continue to improve conditions in
the Placid area.
Patrols might continue but many pilots left us since they felt disenchanted by the Assembly's
decision and we're currently not able to mount an effective fighting force.
Thus the focus of our activities will shift on economic measures and away from military action.

Most of of members are currently on vacation, thus not much is happening in the corporation. We're planning to take up recruiting soon, but other matters delay this at the moment.
Placid Reborn was founded by Jalia Kovac and Kakita J due to the growing dissatisfaction how the
Gallente Federation is treating the Placid region and especially the ystems around the Intaki
homeworld. By allowing the biggest part of the region slide into low security status the
Federation effectively abandoned the people living there and left them at the mercy of
pirates and slavers.
The corporation goal is to strenghten the region militarily, economically and
in the political arena. To achieve that Placid Reborn is recruiting pod pilots from all
venues of that profession - fighters to battle pirates, traders and industrialists to
revitalize the region's commerce and scientists to look for new breakthroughs that can
be used to help us achieve our goals.
